How the hunt works
Save directly in front of the Pokémon, start the battle, check the sprite, and reset if it isn't shiny. Every reset is one fresh roll, so the whole hunt is about shortening the reset loop.
The base rate in Pokémon Black 2 is 1 in 8,192. The Shiny Charm is available in this game and adds two extra shiny rolls. Shiny Charm from completing the National Dex.
